Sabah has a wealth of natural resources and offers a plethora of investment opportunities. Strategic location making Sabah a preferred destinantion for investors. We welcome investors from within and outside Malaysia. The state government “Sabah Maju Jaya mission” is focusing on enhanching economic development in Sabah through investment in manufacturing, tourism sector, agriculture sector, human capital sector, infrastructure and utilities sector that creates more job opportunities for Sabahans. We welcome joint ventures with State owned corporations especially in fields that are capital intensive and require modern technical expertise.

 

To facilitate and assist investors, we have recently set up Invest Sabah Berhad as a ONE STOP AGENCY for all who are considering investing in Sabah. My administration adopts a business friendly policy and will not tolerate undue man-made obstacles and un-necessary red tapes that hinder speedy business development.

 

The setting up of Invest Sabah Berhad illustrates our commitment to working with investors big and small by providing a full spectrum of services with the sole intention of assisting investors, to facilitate, coordinate and expedite the process of setting up business operations in Sabah. The Sabah State Government is committed to render every assistance to the management of Invest Sabah to realise this mission. As Chairman of the Board of Invest Sabah Berhad, I am personally committed to see that this is achieved.

As the Ministry overseeing the growth of industrial development in Sabah, I am proud to say that the formation of Invest Sabah Berhad (ISB) marks another milestone in our commitment to implement the State’s mission towards creating and setting up the industries in Sabah.  It is my hope that ISB will contribute positively towards encouraging and more importantly, facilitating investments generally.  Toward this end, manpower and other resources will continue to be made available to ISB to enhance their efforts at facilitating investors.

The management of ISB has been mandated to efficiently process business proposals which my Ministry is fully committed to support.  It is our duty and responsibility to assist and facilitate all confirmed and potential investors to ensure the smooth investment in Sabah.

Invest Sabah Bhd (ISB) is wholly State Government owned agency under the Ministry of Industrial Development Sabah responsible for promotion of investment opportunities in Sabah. ISB BOD is made up of an influential team headed by the Right Honourable Chief Minister, we are advantageously poised to identify challenges and solutions to facilitate investment in Sabah. ISB will fully capitalise on the unique, multi-channel access open to us in Sabah so as to better serve investors’ needs.
